Who I am...

The first home I knew was in Weston Road in Rhyl. We seemed to move around a bit when I was child and I can remember living in five or six different homes before my Mum and Dad took my sister and I to live in Australia when I was four. My Mum, my sister and I returned to Rhyl when I was eight after my parents divorced in Australia. Living between Rhyl, St. Asaph and Ruthin, going to St. Asaph VP and Christ Church schools, before finally moving to our own council house in Sholing Drive and attending ysgol Bryhedydd, my life involved a lot of different homes and a lot of differnet people.... But being a part of life in Rhyl became my sanctuary.

I live with my wife in Abergele now, with two grown up children who have left home and made their own way... I have worked across UK and spent time in Europe and USA, running my own business, leading teams delivering Energy Efficiency improvements for a global energy company, and developing and managing Fuel Poverty programmes for UK and Welsh Governments.. I've also been a school governor and trustee of Care & Repair.

I became a Labour suporter in 1978 because I supported "Rock against Racism".

I am still a Labour Party member now, in part because  the fight against Fuel Poverty still goes on..

Too many people in Wales have to decide each day whether they turn on their heating or feed their family.

That matters to me... It reminds me why we are Labour.
